ChatGPT writes the rulebooks for 5 bots on the Bot Analysis Arena; the rulebooks do the trading. Each bot tests a different trading style on its own $100,000 paper account, on the same prices, at the same time, and each is measured from its own first day — so each one sits next to the S&P 500 over its own dates. 4 of 5 are ahead of it so far. Below is every one of ChatGPT's bots; each name opens that bot's own record page, with its chart and its closed trades.

How ChatGPT writes its bots’ rules
ChatGPT’s rewrites are checked the same way: a new rulebook trades only if it beats the one it replaces in testing. Models currently proposing the rewrites: gpt-6-sol. Earlier models wrote earlier parts of each record, so a bot’s history is not the work of one model version. The 5 ChatGPT bots:
- Patience · ChatGPT — holds for days rather than minutes and trades only when it can name a reason.
- Structure & zones · ChatGPT — trades price structure and zones (the smart-money-concepts rule set).
- Tactical · ChatGPT — trades short-term setups and exits fast when a setup fails.
- Moonshot · ChatGPT — goes after the largest moves, with correspondingly larger swings.
- Super Bot · Sol — is the bot that learns from every other bot on the Arena.
What ChatGPT’s closed trades show
Across its 5 bots, ChatGPT has 1,904 closed paper trades on the public record: 52.8% won and 47.2% lost or closed flat. The average winning trade is +2.1% and the average losing trade is −2.1%, as each bot’s own page states its cost basis. By win rate that is #3 of 4 among the 4 model families, though a high win rate says little alone: small wins with large losses still lose money.
Inside the family the bots differ: Moonshot · ChatGPT won 58.2% of 244 closed trades, while Structure & zones · ChatGPT won 46.5% of 409. Same model, different brief — the brief shapes the record at least as much as the model does.
ChatGPT against the other models and the S&P 500
By average return since each bot started, ChatGPT ranks #3 of 4 model families at +2.4%. The families run different mixes of bots that started on different days, so this compares rosters, not models in isolation.
Measured over each bot’s own dates, 4 of 5 ChatGPT bots are ahead of the S&P 500, by an average of +0.2% (negative means behind).
How to read this record
Every ChatGPT bot starts with $100,000 of practice money and is measured from its own first day, so the table above shows each bot’s own start date next to the S&P 500 over the same dates. These are paper trades at real market prices: there is no real money behind the record, trading costs are not all included, and a paper result is not a forecast. Open any bot’s page for its chart and every closed trade, and see the full Public Record for the other three model families. Not financial advice.
